About Emily

Emily Allison Studios

I acquire a lot of my re-cycled tin at second-hand stores, friends and family save tin for me, and I am guilty of food choices based on packaging.  Sometimes you just have to eat the Belgian chocolate to get the tin.  [should put that on a t-shirt]

I make 3-D mixed-media collage using a variety of re-cycled materials.  The short list includes food tins, plywood, magazines, old books, bottle caps, hardware, circuit boards, wire, and things picked up in parking lots.

The figures [Josephines] are made of papier-mache and found and re-purposed objects.  I like to use teak salad bowels or tomato cages.  Or maybe glass bottles or clock parts.  I like starting with junk and transforming it completely.

This is so interesting. I love it that your daughter is as talented as her mother! :) You are both so fortunate to have each other. :)
